Need help writing your college application essays?

If you’re a high school student struggling to write your college application essay, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re applying Early Action or Regular Decision, I can help. My students have been offered admission at a range of schools, including Brown, Princeton, Cornell, Williams, U Chicago, Tufts, Brandeis, Loyola Marymount, Boston University, Boston College, U Mass-Amherst and Bentley.

I am a high school English teacher (certified in Massachusetts) who specializes in writing. Being an educator for 15 years, I’ve taught many courses, including Sophomore and Junior Honors, AP Language and Composition and Creative Writing.

One of my passions is helping students write their college essays. This interest arose out of my work with AP non-fiction texts, including memoirs. But my interest in personal memoirs really began in a workshop with Natalie Goldberg, noted writing teacher and author of books like Writing Down the Bones and Old Friend from Far Away. I continue to work on my own writing projects while helping others find their voice.

I teach a summer course in the Newton/Wellesley area on writing the college essay. I am also available for tutoring on an individual basis both in the greater Boston area and across the country, via Skype. If you’d like to contact me, you may do so at msjacquelineclark@gmail.com or 781.214.0912. Follow me on Twitter @JackieClark01. I also conduct SAT, ACT and ISEE prep and offer general ELA tutoring.
